3 Year Reflection
Morning,
I wanted to do a write up reflecting on the content creator journey I embarked on three years ago. I initially got started before this date on a blog/newsletter for a specific community (Mekas, RIP). But decided I wanted to not limit myself to one community and just write about crypto overall.
I remember thinking back then that the type of content I wanted to see was not really out there. I was fast approaching 10 years in crypto by that point. And maybe it was the early days of spending time as BTC maxi that made me feel like I was missing out on the exciting news of web3. So without much thought, I went full send for 2.5 years straight. In hindsight, it was funny to start when my wife was pregnant. I honestly thought I would stop when my kid was born but somehow kept going.
Some of you may have seen my recent post about not being selected for the latest Octant round. I have since calmed down. I think part of the frustration was it was sold as a retrofunding round and not really do you have a cool project you need funding on. So I heavily focused on the past. So when the news came it felt like all the work I had put it was somehow not valid.
My goal has always been to explore new ideas and how certain ideas can only exist in crypto. Probably not the best path for getting support or mass appeal but thats okay. I get to meet folks pushing the boundaries of what is possible with web3. Cheers to three years, who knows what is in store for us this year.
